The result of the discussion was: keep. Converted into acceptable notable article and placed in mainspace (non-admin closure) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:18, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Draft:The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Rejected 4 times for sounding like a press release; still does-- both the plot sand the reception sections. DGG ( talk ) 16:29, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- It's salvageable (which I'm about to do). DS (talk) 18:05, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- Delete per DGG's nomination. No prejudice to it being salvaged if it happens before this MfD reaches closing date. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:49, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
Delete as per nominator and User:Kudpung, and extended-confirmed create-protect in draft space and article space. The book is notable, but the author, who is the author, is only here to promote their books, and is clearly not about to submit a neutral article. If Dragonfly salvages it within seven days, then I will strike my vote. Otherwise Dragonfly or some other neutral editor can salvage it later. We should have an article on the book, but Wikipedia is built on neutral point of view, so that any article should be a neutral article. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:38, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
- I agree that it is potentially slavagable, and thought about doing it myself, but when I realized the plot section also needed rewriting, I realized my unsuitability ,for I had never read the book.. DGG ( talk ) 00:12, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Done. Have a look. (I've never read the book either, which is no hindrance to my writing about it - because there's sufficient coverage for me to infer what it's about. In other words, it's notable.) DS (talk) 00:32, 3 July 2019 (UTC)

- Promote to mainspace as rewritten by User:DragonflySixtyseven. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:51, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- Comment - Review the edits of the author to see if any promotional edits in mainspace need to be reverted. (But that isn't for MFD.) Robert McClenon (talk) 00:53, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
