I finished 1st & 2nd season on v.0.8.3 and patched the game first with "BeingADIK-0.10.0-pc-lin/ Season 3 Interlude + Episode 10" and then with "BeingADIK-0.10.1-pc-lin-patch/ Patch (EP 9 to EP10 & v0.10.0 to v0.10.1)" and I keep getting an error! I thought that the 0.10.1 patch would fix it but no. I Couldn't find "BeingADIK-0.9.0-pc-lin & BeingADIK-0.9.1-pc-lin" patches and thought that "BeingADIK-0.10.0-pc-lin" would just do it or even that it contains those files from 0.9.0 & 0.9.1.

Dude I think you mix thing's up. Season 1 and Season 2 which contains ep1 to ep8 is a different file to Season 3 which contains interlude, ep9 and ep10. The patch you installed is for season 3, that is why you receive an error.

This is interlude, ep9 and ep10

Download season 3 and the patch then run the game. At the start menu you will see and import icon, click it to carry over your previous save data from ep 1 to 8

That, with her smoking for free, and her idea to sell weed and Hash to the preps (planning to just walk up to Tybalt at the party and ask him:FacePalm:), does paint a picture that she's not the brilliant business woman she thinks she is. It's been one disaster after another.

No, I'm not really comparing them, what I'm saying is Quinn made a big fuck up with both of them. The results of that fuck are neither here nor there, ultimately one fuck up lead to a girl getting cold feet and possibly knowing to much about the silent partner that is Burke. what Maya may or may not know is besides the point she fucked up there too, proper misread Maya. And as a result there may be a girl out there who knows more than the partners want. My point is once is a mistake, twice (in such a short period of time) is a monumental fuck up. But ultimately it becomes evident Quinn is fucking up and putting whatever scheme they have in jeapordy.

I was just saying that if quinn to be priscilla, and some sort of criminal mastermind, well there's a few reasons why the game presents this as not the case.

And that's why all this "Priscilla is Quinn, the simple answer is usually right" theories are crap, because the Game is portraying Quinn as someone who has no aptitude to be Priscilla, she's just a small time player who thought she could play with the big boys and made error after error after error

The key point in understand Occam's Razor is what is meant by "simple". People mistake simple phrasing for simple claims. "Everything in this book is true" is a very simple phrase but as a claim can entail a massive amount of assertions depending on the book.

The question is: does Quinn being Priscilla actually make things simpler?

We know that the free tuition rumour is a way to bring in recruits for the restaurant and we know that it is partly true. Stephen arranges scholarships for the restaurant girls. It's "free" in the sense that they pay with sex instead of money.

Stephen chews Quinn out because she got cocky and a potential whistle blower like Maya got involved.

If the phone call was to Quinn and DPC wanted keep her name out of it the simplest way to do that was to not mention a name at all. "It's Stephen. We need to talk." would have covered it.

We know the scholarship scheme involves older customers because that's why Mona got cold feet. It's practically certain that Stephen isn't running it solo. Someone else brings in the customers while he manages the girls. So Priscilla being someone else involved doesn't really complicate matters at all, especially if she is the actual mastermind, who would have to be introduced to the plot anyway.

Madame Rose being part of the scheme would justify the character's existence, but she doesn't have to be Priscilla or the mastermind. It would just be simplest of all if she is both.

Nothing will ever justify the character's appearance, though. DPC shall never be forgiven for that one.

Devil's advocate: he calls Quinn "Priscilla" because he's fucking pissed, like if you royally fucked up and your mother calls you by your full name. But that's stretch.

As far as anyone is concerned, Mona is completely off the grid. She isn't a local, has cut all contact with everyone, and was scared enough to leave in the middle of the night. I don't think Burke is worried about her at all. There's nothing further he can do anyway, short of killing her :eek:

This dialogue about Quinn's name reminds me of a friend of mine whose parents had a dispute about her name that lasted her entire life. Her mother didn't really like the name that her and her husband had agreed on, so she put another name on her birth certificate when her father wasn't looking. Let's say that name was Saffron. However, her father had agreed on the name Sally and that's what he was going to call her, damn it. So her mother called her Saffron and her father called her Sally. For 18 fucking years. When she turned 19 guess what she did? You guessed it. She changed her name to neither one of those. However, she still needed to be Saffron for college registration purposes. She called it her college name. I wouldn't be surprised if Priscilla was the name her mother gave her because her Dad wasn't at the hospital, but her dad (who is the one she really identifies with because her mom is an addict struggling with mental illness) never called her that one day in her life. Since that name is on her paperwork, though, it is likely Sage's overflowing toilet of a dad would be one of the few who knew of it. He doesn't need to call her that all the time, likely only saving it for special occasions when he wants to be especially condescending. What's in a name, anyway? A turd by any other name would still smell like shit.
