Since we are still talking about the game and how bad the recent update was and etc etc... developer clearly won. His game is still being discussed and there is still money being thrown at him. Why would he ever change anything?

It’s about securing the necessary funds to sustain the project while also enjoying life. This balance creates a perfect ecosystem for the developer. There are valuable lessons to be learned here. So like you pointed out- why change?
